The XR Group headed to Takasu Snow Park in Gifu Prefecture for a one-day ski and snowboard trip. We enjoyed a great day on the slopes and a fun break from our usual research activities.

Associate Professor Wolfgang Hürst from Utrecht University visited our lab. He toured our facilities and delivered a talk on his latest research in video interaction.

3 papers from XR group have been accepted to CVPR 2026 (Main conference x1, Findings x2).

2 papers from XR group have been accepted to IEEE VR 2026. Both papers were accepted to the journal track and will be published in IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics (TVCG).

The XR Group provided full support for the organization of the international conference on AI and XR, IEEE AIxVR 2026, held from January 26–28, 2026, at Sigma Hall, a facility of the Graduate School of Engineering Science, The University of Osaka.

We delivered one invited talk (Assoc. Prof. Nakamura) and four oral presentations (PhD students Kusuyama, Miura, Sommart, Takeuchi) at SPIE Photonics West 2026, held in San Francisco, USA.
