Assistant Professor Issac Cho from Utah State University visited our lab. He toured our facilities and delivered a talk on his latest research in 3D User Interfaces.

Title: 3D User Interfaces for Immersive Virtual Environments

Abstract: In immersive virtual environments, 3D user interfaces are a core component that shapes how users perceive, navigate, and manipulate virtual worlds. This talk presents a human-centered perspective on 3D user interfaces and examines how interaction techniques in immersive environments influence users’ perception, cognition, performance, and overall experience. Through a range of interactive systems and empirical studies, it explores key elements of 3D interaction, including selection, manipulation, navigation, and multimodal feedback, and discusses how these interface designs relate to user experience and behavior.
