The XR Group provided full support for the organization of the international conference on AI and XR, IEEE AIxVR 2026, held from January 26–28, 2026, at Sigma Hall, a facility of the Graduate School of Engineering Science, The University of Osaka.
We delivered one invited talk (Assoc. Prof. Nakamura) and four oral presentations (PhD students Kusuyama, Miura, Sommart, Takeuchi) at SPIE Photonics West 2026, held in San Francisco, USA.
We held a Christmas party at NIKUBARU Moooh!!.
Kishi, a fourth-year undergraduate student, received the Encouragement Award at the IEEJ Kansai Young Researchers Conference for his poster presentation.
Assistant Professor Alexander Plopski from TU Graz in Austria visited our lab. He toured our facilities and gave a talk on his latest research on gaze-aware augmented reality interfaces.
